Duas in the Home

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Sadly, many times we forget the power of dua unless we are in distress or need. Duas are a powerful tool given to us my Allah SubhanAllah Ta'laa and should be utilized daily. Infact, the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) explained dua, or supplication, as the "very essence of worship." Nothing is considered more noble or beloved to the All Merciful.
Allah SubhanAllah Ta'laa has told us, "Oh you who believe, remember Allah time and time again." Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) again stats the importance of dua by saying, "He who remembers his Lord and he who does not remember his Lord are like the living and the dead."
A Few Conditions of Dua

*Dua must be for something pure/good
~Person making dua must have good intentions
*Believe wholeheartedly that Allah SubhanAllah Ta'laa will fufill your dua as and when is fit
~Strive to make yourself pure (Prophet Muhammad PBUH mentioned a traveller on a long journey, who is dishevelled and dusty, and he stretches forth his hands to the sky, saying, 'O my Lord! O my Lord!', While his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished unlawfully; how can he be answered?")
*Dua Shouldn't interfere with something important (ie, don't neglect the adhan for dua)

Just recently I've decided to post duas throughout my home to inshAllah help my husband and I remember to say them, and I encourage you to do so as well if you too are finding yourself forgetting to make dua throughout the day. I've tried to post a few below, but InhsAllah you will find the websites makedua.com and duas.org helpful to a greater extent.

May Allah SubhanAllah Ta'laa bless you and your family for your efforts, ameen.

Assalaam Alaikum MJ,

This was so helpful to me. I think many of us don't know how to properly supplicate before Allah honestly. I love you so much, thanks for writing this.

Assalamualaikum MJ,

I used to have du'a cards that I carry along with me in the bag as a child and back then, I liked reaching out to one and reading it out loud. Perhaps I should look for those cards again to redevelop this remarkable practice. One tends to remain humble when one equips oneself with continuous supplications to Allah S.W.T. :)
